Living in Las Vegas

I know it sounds funny when you live in the Entertainment Capital of the World, but I really need to get away from all the craziness and just go somewhere to relax and be away from everything. Not a full on pack your bag weekend away, but more of a zip out out town for a night real quick.

Someone recommended the Casablanca in Mesquite, NV. I know it’s not luxury accommodations, but it would do for an inexpensive weekend to just relax and unwind.  I checked them out on Tripadvisor and they got 3 stars, which I guess isn’t too bad.  They always have good deals and the spa offers a lot of different services, including a relaxation room, mineral water soaking pool and eucalyptus steam room.  I’m not really into massages, but I love a good pedicure. The deluxe spa pedicure is $57 which I hope is not overpriced.

My other option would be the Stateline by CA and the outlet mall in Primm.  When my husband and I were dating we used to go out to the Goldstrike in Jean for a fun night out, but that was back when we didn’t need to leave the room, or even cared about what the room looked like.  Now that we have been together for over 10 years, we will be doing other stuff too.

My first pick would be the spa, my second the mall, but it won’t be happening this weekend! It sure is nice to think about though.
